Recap: Oslo Business Region launches EGC 2019 Business Program


The launch of the EGC Business Program was held by Oslo Business Region on January 4th, starting  early in the morning while set on a boat facing the Opera House and the Oslo fjord. More than 200 leaders and representatives of the business community signed up for the event with Oslo’s Vice Mayors Kjetil Lund and Lan Marie Nguyen Berg taking key opening notes followed by a range of exciting initiatives and insights spanning from plastic recycling & circular, diversity, cathedral thinking & art, ocean tech, urban development and mobility.

Among the presentations, there were Innovasjon Norge, Katapult Ocean, Circular Norway, Quantafuel, Clean Sea Solutions, She Conference, BI Norwegian Business School, Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord, Bjørvikaforeningen, Aspelin Ramm, Snøhetta AS, Oslo Havn NCE Maritime CleanTech and Ruter.

We also introduced the 4 EGC2019 Business Challenges, Ambassador program, Mentor program, and key international events in Oslo where we will deliver interactive meetings formats for business across sectors.

The Business Program aims to engage Oslo’s business community broadly; powercoupling actors across size & industries, private/public+RND/academia. Exploring new opportunities for business to help deliver on Oslo’s Climate Budget while fueling it’s competitiveness & innovation capabilities.
