Recap: OIW Event Organizer Meeting – Newsworthy

How can you succeed in identifying your event or company’s best story and gain media’s attention? We welcomed Oslo Innovation Week 2018 event organizers and everyone who is interested in learning more about getting newsworthy through events, at FOLK Oslo, to find out!

We gathered key experts to share insights and tips to the partners on how to sell your story to Norwegian and international press. Benjamin Webb from Deliberate PR shared his experiences from the work he has done with Norwegian startups and connecting them to UK and international media, Marius Mørch-Larsen from Finansavisen gave tips on how to and how not to contact a journalist, Tord Dale from Footprint talked about how to sell a story with a sustainable message. The last part of the event was a tailored workshop for OIW organizers by media company Trigger.

The goal of the event organizer meetings is to give the event managers useful tools and inspiration to create better events, and to create a valuable network amongst the partners. Based on feedback from previous organizer meetings, we wanted to use the workshop to create a more interactive experience for the event organizers.
