2019 is the year that Oslo moves from talk to action. Last Wednesday, Oslo Business Region co-hosted a panel on European Green Capital Business Program and a Startup Day during the Europe’s biggest conference focusing on gender diversity, SHE, at Oslo Spektrum.
The day program started with a roundtable meeting on Equality in Business – Shipping & Finance, hosted by ABG Sundal Collier & Grieg under Chatham House Rules and with participation of OBR Director of Sustainability, Ocean Industries & Communication, Birgit M. Liodden.
The workshop was followed by the panel Partnerships for Diversity and Inclusion, in connection with EGC calendar. Participants included the former Minister of Children and Equality, Linda Hofstad Helleland, founder of SHE, Heidi Aven, Nordea executives, CEO of MAK, Javad, Mushtaq, partner of SHE Index India, Sanjam Gupta and MP, Anette Trettebergstuen.
Right after, a mix of students and entrepreneurs joined the Meet The Community + Founders at the Startup Stage, to learn more about eight of the most important startup hubs in Oslo: MESH, StartupLab, 657, Angel Challenge, Katapult Accelerator, Arkwright X, TheFactory, Aleap. Each of them introduced a Startup which pitch about their work, including Ombu, Combine, timetoRIOT, As We Are Now, Diwala, Unloc, Capassa, ShieldME.
