Mali Hole Skogen: Oslo European Green Capital Ambassador

Mali Hole Skogen is a proud “Oslopolitan” who loves the fjord, the forests, and the city. Above all, she believes in the people of Oslo and the combined passion and willingness to create a sustainable, clean capital through policy, technology, business and innovation.

Currently, Mali is the Sustainability Director of IKT-Norge. We are proud to present her as an Oslo European Green Capital Ambassador. Two weeks ago, Mali traveled with the Oslo delegation to Hackney, London to present at Oslo Meets Hackney: City Challenges, City Solutions. There, she powerfully presented IKT Norge’s role in embracing the green economy, highlighting how cities and businesses can work together towards common goals to solve global challenges together.

IKT-Norge creates growth, new jobs, and new business opportunities that can be aligned with the green economy.

What obstacles do you face while working for a greener Oslo?
Sustainability is the key factor to Norwegian industries and their long-term competitiveness. The sooner people realize that, the better.

What are your personal climate goals for 2019?
To use less plastic, eat less meat, have less food-waste, and buy less stuff in general. Also, to pollinate flowers that attract more insects into my garden.

Name a role model that inspires you, locally and globally:
Greta Thunberg, Gro Harlem Brundtland and Silvija Seres
