Established in 2012, in the heart of the city of Oslo (Øvre Slottsgate, 3), SoCentral started with a clear goal: to contribute to the further development of the Nordic welfare model.
SoCentral is a collaborative incubator that brings together municipalities, government agencies, entrepreneurs and companies who want to develop new solutions to complex social challenges.
Their members are companies, government employees, startups and consultants. All work to solve sustainability challenges through collaboration and across industry sectors.
“We partner with Ferd Social Entrepreneurs to develop and run the accelerator Social Startup. We provide network events, pro bono legal and accounting services, and connect our members to a larger community”, explained Head of the incubator Marie Harbo Dahe.
Why should startups choose Oslo?
Oslo is a perfect test ground for the new solutions our societies need.
Are you taking an Industry Challenge (from Oslo European Green Capital)?
Yes, we are taking Industry Challenge number 4: We will contribute to reducing plastic waste through replacing single use plastics with environmental friendly alternatives in our operations, whilst actively challenging our suppliers to develop plastic-free alternatives through innovative procurement.
About Green Stories: Oslo Business Region is leading the business program during Oslo European Green Capital (EGC).
